We build world class, top-quality websites that drive increased sales to your business.
What’s Our Experience?
For the past 15 years, we have been doing Website Development for ourselves and now we are bringing that same expertise to small business owners across Canada. The websites that we personally own and operate currently receive well over 100,000 unique visitors each and every month and we use the exact same expertise we’ve used to build our own websites so that your business can fully tap into the full potential of what online marketing has to offer.
Your online success is our business, and by working together we will ensure that your website generates the leads that you need to expand your business.

What’s with the Name?
The company was formed in the Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver, Canada. With the eventual goal of running the company from a tropical location it made sense to take the first part of the location of the company “Kits” and combine that with “Sand” to form the Kitsand Media Group, or KMG for short.
When the name was being registered with the B.C. government, it was denied because it was too similar to many other names that had “Kits and” in their names like “Car Kits and Detailing.” Even though the original name was denied, the acronym KMG had a very nice ring to it, so a replacement word starting with the letter “K” was needed.
A quick search through the dictionary revealed the Japanese word “Kami,” which means spirit in the Shinto religion. Kami meaning spirit, and sand meaning sand; it was a perfect combination to embody the underlying inspiration of the company, and thus the birth of Kamisand Media Group.
Nigel and Mitch originally met on the island of Xiamen, China over ten years ago and their passion for technology and internet kept them in contact for over ten years. As Mitch continued to hone is graphics skills and Nigel his programming abilities it naturally made sense for the two to join forces and bring this potent combination together.
Over the past year Kamisand has designed a number of websites for business in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. All websites are designed using the WordPress platform to allow clients to easily take control of their websites without any technical knowledge. Client websites are also designed with mobile platforms in mind, so that as more and more people use phones and tablets to browse online, their websites will work perfectly now, and in the future.
